After your final status update

1. There are others questions in his talk. Indeed, at the end, he wonders if the digital life after death can be in our reality and if it is, how this ressurection can change our life's definition and of what's happened after life.

2. According to this speaker, technology lead us to a place where we will able to survive,in a sense, to our death thanks to internet and social network. Indeed, we all build a digital identity which is stocked in a data base. This archive could be used by services which will make us live after out death. Hence, digital immortality is possible thanks to technology. This virtual persona could still interact with his friends. Moreover, technology begins to be well developped to create robots which ( or who ... ) take our web identity and live according to our personality. Technology eventually can create hologram which can screen a virtual person everywhere. Thus, this speaker is in favor of technology which can lead us to virtual immortality.

3. To my mind, this "incredibly rich digital archive" will be used for different things. I think it will be great to use it to our family or friends. Then, it could be used to sociologic and technologic research.Yet, I think that's it. In fact, I think this data base will probably stay in servers, like a cimetary and no one will touch it or maybe data will be erased one day.

8 secrets of success

1) According to Richard St John, we need to resort to 8 secrets so that we find success : we have to be passionated in what we undertake and work a lot. Moreover, Focus and Practice are indispensable. Then, we have to be pushed mentally and physically and we have to be creatived and have ideas. Although we could face failures, we have to continued and persevered. We have to eventually served the others.

2) If I had to choose one of those eights secrets, I would take the Passion in what we do. Why ? First of all, i think that someone who want to know Success has to let himself lead by his vocation, and we know that if he has vocation he will work by passion. But what is vocation ? It means that he is called by something, it's something which is superior to the Reason. In that way, vocation means passion.
Then, if someone works by passion, he would invest everyday of his life to practice what he likes; furthermore, he will devote himself to his task. By example, every Noble Prizes do their job by passion, they work everyday and find Success in awards worldwide recognize.
When we work by Passion, the job is not a job, it's not a constraint but it becomes a leisure and an amusement : we don't work for money but for our pleasure. So, Success is easier to obtain.
To conclude, someone who is fascinated by what he does doesn't look for Success but sometimes Passion leads him to it. Moreover, I think that Passion is the Principle of the seven others secrets : Passion push you to work and push you physically and mentally ( for example sportsman) and make you focus; hence, ideas come to you easier and you serve the others ( by example surgeons) and you persevere in what you do.

Informal Letter

Hey Vince, what's up ?

Guess where I went last vacation ? I went for one week to New York Cityyyyy , the big apple !

It was awesome; everything is bigger and taller than in France, even the Big Mac ! I visited four districts : Manhattan, Brooklyn, Harlem and the Bronx; those districts are very different in the architecture and in the culture.

Plus, i saw the Statue of Liberty, she is in fact small, but she is very impressionant; it was the first thing the emigrants saw when they came to New York by boat.

Furthermore, I went to Ground Zero. It's where the twins tower were and it's a little place, and there are two others towers who are being build.

Then I went up to the Empire State Building where I can see the whole city, and trust me, it's very up !

The New Yorker are very nice when I need help. The streets have no name, just numbers. So it's very easy for the strangers to walk without losing their way. In the streets, we feel the patriotism because there are a lot of flags of the United States on the buildings.

Moreover, I saw a basketball game in the Madison Square Garden; it was just crazy !

Bye bye Vince, see you soon !

My tips for freshers

I advise freshers to not be stressed or afraid of this new environment. I understand that it can be scary because between School and University there is a large gap : you are not very supervised by someone and you have to be autonomous : in some way you are responsible of what you do and your work. Moreover, you will feel like a stranger because you won't know anybody, University is a large place and there is a lot of students. Yet, it's very cool to feel responsible and to be autonomous. In fact, you prepare yourself to the active life and you choose what you want to do, the timetable is not burdened so you can work or do sports or get out with your friends, this place is very nice : there are many activities or associations that you can take part of. So, i advise you to speak to everyone you can, to involved yourself in associations or sports, and to work a lot : it means to go to every lessons and to go at the library to inform you. If you have a problem, you can make an appointment with teachers or students who will help you. To conclude, University is a social and a culture place and it is a spot of possibilities. Thus, don't be afraid of the Unknown and i hope you will enjoy your first year of University.

Where can you go ?

So, I suggest you a great walk but you have to be very sportive women and great adventurers !! You will know the Sublime experience. The walking is set in Claix, a city which is from 10 minutes from Grenoble. It consists in climbing a mountain. You would have to climb the " Col de l'Arc ". First of all, you could climb with your car, you will see the city of Grenoble and even the Mont Blanc : the greatest view of the environs. But then it becomes impracticable, so you would have to let your car and walk in the slush but in a great forest, with a fresh air for 2 or 3 kilometers. You will enjoy the Nature with no noises but the call of the birds. After maybe one hour, you will see the other view from the other side of the mountain. You will be very up, you will be affected by the immensity of the surrounding, you will experience the Sublime : this feeling of respect, smallness but better than the Lovelyness ! Trust me, you will be fascinated !
